Our Youth of Today
You never know what to expect when going to Houstons Most Hated Warehouse. Like take for instance on Saturday… - well we won’t get into that night’s details.
Just know you have yet to see it at it’s full potential, but just last friday the doors opened to a Creative Commons that I had no idea existed. I’ve been trying to find more local talent that gets me moving and all along the youth have been holding the key. This isn’t stuff you’ll find on the Hype Machine just yet, but be prepared for an uprise in Houston’s young local talent
Well i’m proud to see we have some serious talent hiding beneath the scorned and bitter hatred that lurks above.
I’m thinking there just might be room for Indie talent in Houston,
oh and it never hurts to have cute girls in the band either
To start off
Female Demand = two guys a Bassist and Drummer,

think if Lightning Bolt ate a Valium…and actually used the Bass as sounds.
this is good shit
They will be playing the a Secret event in the Heights on August, 23 2008
This is all we know. stay tuned for details

Next we have the Riff Tiff’s,

This band opened up for Snowden and also they will be playing on the 30th of August at Warehouse Live. It’s sad to say this band won’t be playing again for some time after that because of their schooling, but if you get the chance to see them open for Electric Touch on the 30th then please do.
They had us rocking all night.
solid band-

Another great act we witnessed on Friday call themselves The Wild Moccasins, this band also from Houston.

This is what the HoustonPress had to say about them.
“The rapturously lo-fi Best New Act nominees the Wild Moccasins shine with a Kinks-like glimmer. Think “Waterloo Sunset” inside the Loop, with a healthy dash of boy-girl vocals. Along with Young Mammals and the Mathletes, the Moccasins are helping head up a Houston pop scene with a million flavors and as many possibilities. Factor in that the band’s median age is barely a spry 20 and you can’t help but think that, for a change, we’ve all just witnessed the birth of one damn vibrant scene with gas in the tank and its heart in the right place.” - C.H. , Houston Press July 2008
and we feel the same way - We’re loving it.
Tonight Monday the 19th The Wild Moccasins will be showing us how consistent they can be.
Aug 18th 2008 10:30pm @ Sigs Lagoon in Houston’s Midtown. - we will see you there
oh by the way, we are holding their Light Bright infused with WM
until we are released an Exclusive HMH track for you to stream, but until then you can myspace them for the goodies.
Last but not least, It’s The Eastern Sea. This crowd Favorite made it’s way from Austin Texas. They also brought us a Cranberries cover that was very well played. We liked this band a lot.

HMH is also looking for a track to stream from The Eastern Sea’s new line up.
stay tuned
