Faith Evans was one of the many R&B artists playing as the background music of my ‘95 childhood. It was unheard of to have a female R&B singer be her own writer then. She sang back up for Mary J and wrote Usher’s entire first album, but then she was only known to be Biggie’s wife…. until she wrote and recorded her first self titled album was she known as an artist on her own. She sang from her heart and soul and everyone felt her pain. I loved her then and I love her still.

Thanks for all that came out to support our baby HMH last Saturday! It was a success despite all the confusion, The Juan Maclean and The Field were amazing!!! The Djs were great and all that mattered was that everyone was having a grand ole time, whether you were dancing downstairs or we were dancing upstairs— getting hella sweaty. For those of you that didn’t make it… *ahem* CAPTAINGANN and JEFFERSON ADAMS, you were missed greatly. I even put you two on the guestlist just for the hell of it as your HMH names to make it feel like you were there in spirit lol… wish you could’ve been there to celebrate with the rest of the crew, but there’s always next year, when our baby turns 2. WE WILL ALL MAKE IT THIS TIME. I would say “now check out the pictures below” but…. haaaaa classic HMH moment we had that night. We all got too wasted to take pictures ourselves, so I’ll collect pictures from the other people that were snapping them and I’ll post them when I get them. So again, thanks for coming out and supporting little baby HMH and thanks to everyone that made this party happen.
